**Action Against Hunger USA Seeks Senior Research Manager**

The Action Against Hunger USA is looking for a highly qualified and experienced Senior Research Manager to lead its water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) research efforts. As the principal investigator of this 3-year project, you will oversee and coordinate the research across multiple countries, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of scientific rigor and ethical conduct.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate with a master's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as international development, WASH-related studies, governance, or private sector development. You should have at least 10 years of experience in research, technical expertise in humanitarian response, and project management of overall alignment, strategy, and execution across all partners and sub-partners.

This role requires significant leadership experience, with a minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership and senior managerial experience overseeing a team of cross-cutting expertise in support staff and/or consultants. You must be familiar with all steps of project cycle management and with USAID compliance requirements for cooperative agreements.

**Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Principal Investigator (PI) of the Water Supply O&M research, contributing to other strategic research projects at Action Against Hunger USA.
  • Manage project resources adequately to conduct high-quality research and ensure donor compliance.
  • Ensure that all applicable approvals have been obtained for trial registration and ethical review, both at international and country-levels before starting the study and enrolling subjects.
  • Provide oversight over all study activities at all levels, including tasks delegated to others, to ensure that the research is conducted in alignment with its protocol, in compliance with all donor and ethical rules and obligations, and all guidelines and standards within Action Against Hunger.
