Job Description

\

Joint Research and Development, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Manager to support our operations in Washington, DC.

\

The selected candidate will oversee laboratory management, inventory, maintenance, calibration, certification, and repair of instrumentation, equipment, and engineering controls. They will also ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards.

\

Main Responsibilities

\
  • Manage laboratory operations, including waste disposal and inventory control.\
  • Develop and implement procedures for laboratory instrument and equipment maintenance, calibration, and certification.\
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards and other relevant regulations.\
  • Provide technical guidance and support to laboratory staff.\
  • Serve as a backup for the Laboratory Quality Manager.\
  • Requirements\
    • Bachelor's degree in a biological, chemical, or physical science related field.\
    • 3-5 years of recent related laboratory work experience in a certified public health or environmental laboratory.\
    • 2 years of demonstrated laboratory management, leadership, and decision-making experience.\
    • Extensive experience with laboratory safety and hazardous waste disposal.\
