Job Overview

Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Branch Manager, the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a productive and safe working environment by providing hands-on expertise and overseeing the repair and upkeep of the Yellowstone fleet and equipment. This role focuses on maximizing operational efficiency through effective scheduling, repair, and maintenance of the fleet and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee service and repair operations for all fleet and equipment.
  • Update and maintain software related to vehicle information and repairs.
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance schedules for the fleet and equipment.
  • Manage and maintain an organized parts inventory.
  • Ensure quality control for all repairs conducted on the fleet and equipment.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, including the evaluation of potential new suppliers.
  • Conduct cost analysis for fleet and equipment repairs.
  • Monitor and report on repair costs associated with the fleet and equipment.
  • Manage various budget line items related to maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist the Branch Manager with budget procurement for equipment and line items.
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance and repair needs.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient in basic mathematical principles for calculations and measurements.
  • Able to read and interpret technical instructions and procedures.
  • Capable of applying logical reasoning to a variety of challenges.
  • Physical ability to lift items weighing between 30-50 pounds.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for providing and receiving instructions.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with insurability through the company insurance plan.
  • Maintaining an acceptable driving record is essential.
