Job Description

S&C Electric is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Director to lead our Production Operations team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing the IT strategy for Production Operations, ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the IT strategy for Production Operations in alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Identify emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on the business.
  • Plan and manage the implementation of IT initiatives to support business growth and efficiency.
  • Act as a business partner to provide strategic direction and technology leadership to the Production Operations team.
  • Partner with members of the Production Operations Senior Leadership team to identify both current and future technology needs for the group.
  • Build upon strong relationships with key stakeholders, craft technology solutions to meet the needs of the groups' strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of production-focused technologies, ensuring they are integrated with other business systems and meet the needs of the function.
  • Ensure internal applications are managed effectively to support the needs of the greater Production Operations function.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Manage departmental administrative team member processes, including recruitment, induction, vacation management, performance reviews, performance improvement plans, and workforce/succession planning.
  • Foster a culture that supports the growth and development of team members and proactively train, mentor, and coach team members.
  • Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring accuracy and appropriate allocation of resources to maximize ROI and the achievement of departmental strategies and objectives.
  • Offer thought leadership and strategic guidance to the organization, driving the implementation of innovative information technology strategies and impactful programs to enhance business effectiveness.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Solutions Design, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in managing information systems, including 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in IT.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a production operations function as an IT Leader.
  • Excellent knowledge of production operations technology, with broad-based experience in managing production support or related applications and providing guidance to diverse production-related teams.
  • Ability to act as a business partner, understanding service standards and the process for analyzing and recommending solutions to address business needs.
  • Excellent leadership skills with an ability to lead, guide, motivate, and delegate to deliver results, build teams and capabilities, embrace change, drive decisions and outcomes, embrace culture and inclusion, and exhibit integrity.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources, creative problem-solving when obstacles arise, and juggling a heavy volume of diverse projects, including both strategic and tactical assignments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation); able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, from senior executives to support staff, and present compellingly to achieve buy-in from executives, managers, and team members.
  • Excellent business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions, problem-solve complex issues, and leverage data and learnings to drive continuous improvement.
  • Sound financial acumen and numerical ability to manage budgetary resources to maximum effectiveness.
  • Skilled at navigating through ambiguity and leading teams and organizations through change.
  • Ability to travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Business.
