About the Role

Target is seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to join our Network Security team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating, owning, and driving architectural changes to accelerate feature development and improve the quality of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive firewall governance processes and procedures.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and audits of existing firewall rules to identify and rectify non-compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with Business Information Security Officers (BISOs) and application teams to ensure alignment with security requirements.
  • Provide expert consultancy to internal teams on network connections and application integrations.
  • Design and implement governance frameworks for cloud segmentation policies, CDN policies, store, distribution center, HQ, and data center segmentation policies.
  • Enhance automation tools and processes for the review, approval, and ongoing segmentation testing of firewall policies against standard security guidelines.
  • Engage in proactive risk assessment and mitigation strategies to safeguard all network segments.
  • Document all policy changes and maintain clear audit trails for compliance verification.
About You
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in network security, with a strong focus on firewall management and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance frameworks including PCI, SOX, and GLBA.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing governance policies for large-scale networks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
  • Experience with Google Cloud, CDN Fastly, Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and Iptables firewall products.
  • Prior experience in a Fortune 50 retail environment.
  • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages like Python.
Work Arrangement

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs.
