Lead Medical Engineer

As a Lead Engineer at Target, you will serve as the technical anchor for the engineering team that supports a product. You will create, own, and be responsible for the application architecture that best serves the product in its functional and non-functional needs. You will identify and drive architectural changes to accelerate feature development or improve the quality of service (or both).
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain application architecture that meets product needs
- Identify and drive architectural changes to improve service quality
- Collaborate with Business Information Security Officers (BISOs) and application teams to ensure alignment with security requirements
- Provide expert consultancy to internal teams on network connections and application integrations
- Design and implement governance frameworks for cloud segmentation policies, CDN policies, store, distribution center, HQ, and data center segmentation policies
- Enhance automation tools and processes for the review, approval, and ongoing segmentation testing of firewall policies against standard security guidelines
- Engage in proactive risk assessment and mitigation strategies to safeguard all network segments
Requirements
- 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in network security, with a strong focus on firewall management and compliance
- Proven experience in developing and managing governance policies for large-scale networks
- Experience with Google Cloud, CDN Fastly, Check Point, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, and Iptables firewall products
- Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages like Python
