Job Summary

As a Radiology Technologist in our Orthopedics department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care by operating radiologic equipment to produce clinical diagnostic x-ray films. Your expertise will be essential in performing routine diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays, adhering to established procedures and safety standards.
  • Instruct patients regarding procedures and provide clear instructions for their comfort and safety.
  • Examine radiologic film for properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion.
  • Develop and process radiologic film, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.
  • Deliver film to requesters for reading and interpretation, maintaining a secure and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain the x-ray exam room, ensuring a clean and organized environment for patient care.
  • Stock necessary medical and radiological supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
  • Clean and make minor adjustments to radiologic equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Responsible for routine maintenance and vendor notification of failures, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Responsible for dissemination of x-ray reports and x-rays, maintaining a location log for accurate tracking.
  • Schedule radiologic exams to be performed at outside labs, as necessary, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Gather and prepare x-rays with physician interpretation for radiologist over-read, ensuring accurate diagnoses.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree: Completion of an accredited radiology program.
  • SCRQSA license and ARRT certification for Radiology.
  • New graduates must obtain and submit a Permanent SCRQSA license within 30 days of passing the ARRT registry.
