Shriners Children's Lexington is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our pediatric specialty care services.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging services as requested by members of the Medical Staff and under the guidelines set by the standards of the Radiology Department.
- Present a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Produce high-quality images that meet departmental protocols and standards.
- Prepare orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality images.
- Label and manipulate images as needed.
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Current certification/registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- State license by the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (KBMIRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- One year of clinical experience in radiography.
- Experience with intraoperative procedures and pediatric/orthopedic imaging.
- Knowledge of the physical and psychosocial needs of age-specific groups in the environment of care.
