Job Summary:
Growth Ortho is seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Radiology Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce images for diagnostic purposes.
- Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination.
- Take x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure patient care and safety.
- Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order and report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
- Clean and maintain x-ray equipment and maintain sterile field.
- Provide backup support to team members as needed by controlling patient flow, performing EKG tests, obtaining blood pressure measurements, documenting vital signs in the EMR, and administering injectables.
Requirements:
- Associate of Applied Science Degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
- State of Kentucky Radiation License.
- Positive attitude and desire to efficiently support the care of patients.
- Ability to work in a team relationship with other healthcare workers to produce positive outcomes.
- Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements, and regulations.
- Knowledge of radiologic safety, cleanliness, and infection control policies.
- Knowledge of radiologic equipment uses and maintenance.
