We are currently in search of a skilled Pediatric Neuropathologist to play a vital role in our growing team. This position offers a chance to be part of a well-established group of eight dedicated Pathologists, which includes another Neuropathologist and four PhD laboratory directors at one of the nation's premier free-standing children's hospitals.

Akron Children's operates two high-complexity laboratories in the region, providing a wide range of services from routine testing to advanced diagnostics that cater to our complex patient population. There are numerous opportunities to engage in clinically focused research.

Our specialized laboratories for cytogenetics, microbiology, and electron microscopy, along with our fetal and other pediatric pathology services, are unique in the region and serve as referral centers. The department also hosts a Pediatric Pathology fellowship program that offers exceptional training. An academic appointment at Northeast Ohio Medical University is available, depending on qualifications.

The ideal candidate will possess board certification in Neuropathology and Anatomic Pathology; additional training in Clinical Pathology and/or Pediatric Pathology is advantageous.

This role qualifies as a 501(c)(3) site, making it eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.
