We are currently in search of a skilled Pediatric Neuropathologist to play a vital role in our growing team. This is an opportunity to join a well-established group of eight dedicated Pathologists, including another Neuropathologist and four PhD laboratory directors at one of the leading free-standing children's hospitals in the nation.

Akron Children's operates two high-complexity laboratories in the region, providing a wide range of services from routine tests to advanced diagnostics that cater to our complex patient population. There are significant opportunities for involvement in clinically focused research.

Our laboratories specializing in cytogenetics, microbiology, and electron microscopy, along with our fetal and other specialty pediatric pathology services, are unique in the region and serve as referral centers. The department also hosts a Pediatric Pathology fellowship program that offers exceptional training. An academic appointment at Northeast Ohio Medical University is available and will be determined based on experience.

The ideal candidate will possess board certification in Neuropathology and Anatomic Pathology; additional training in Clinical Pathology and/or Pediatric Pathology is advantageous.

This position qualifies as a 501(c)(3) site, making it eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.

Active participation in medical student and resident education is encouraged, and an academic appointment at Northeast Ohio Medical University is available based on experience.
