Salary and Benefits

Job Description

This role requires a skilled and hands-on individual to provide assistance to trades mechanics across the Institute campus. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting carpenters with flooring, door and hardware installation, cabinetry, and trim work.
  • Maintaining paint supplies, painting walls, floors, ceilings, fences, furniture, and other structures.
  • Working with electricians to repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances.
  • Ensuring all equipment and supplies are stored safely and securely.

You will also be responsible for coordinating work with other maintenance specialties, ensuring a quality end product within established timelines.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Carpentry and painting experience.
  • The ability to follow written and verbal directions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three years' related experience.

You will be working in a dynamic environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. You must be able to:

  • Traverse work locations in all types of weather.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Use basic hand and power tools safely.
