Position Overview

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating, planning, executing, and assessing the speech therapy requirements of patients across various age groups, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. This role involves maintaining comprehensive documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes. The Speech Language Pathologist will conduct thorough evaluations and create tailored treatment plans based on assessment results. Additionally, this position addresses the educational needs of patients, families, and healthcare team members, while managing patient care assignments and other operational tasks related to departmental functions. The role also encompasses clinical leadership responsibilities and requires the application of developmental knowledge in patient interactions, alongside performing other related duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • National Certification in Speech Language Pathology (to be obtained within 24 months of employment)
  • State Certification in Speech Language Pathology (KY)
Preferred:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in speech/language pathology within a healthcare environment
  • Doctorate Degree in Speech Language Pathology
