Position Overview

Certification Requirements
  • Required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP. STABLE certification is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Labor and Delivery and Nursery.
  • Patient Ratios: To be confirmed with unit management.
  • First-Time Travelers: Accepted.
  • Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend required.
  • On-Call Duties: Not required.
  • Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs.
  • Block Scheduling: Open to accommodating block schedules.
  • Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate.
  • Pending Licenses: Valid state license not required at submission.
  • RTO Restrictions: Finalized RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no RTO within the first week of employment, and no more than 10 days total.
  • Guaranteed Hours: Contracted hours are guaranteed.
Special Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • Extensive experience in nursery and triage.
  • Proficiency in Labor and Delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
Unit Information

This unit serves a diverse population, with a significant percentage of patients being Medicaid recipients. Approximately 40% of our patients are Guatemalan, primarily speaking Mam and KanJobal, with English or Spanish as secondary languages. Our unit averages 25 to 30 deliveries monthly and is anticipating growth with the addition of a new physician.
