Participant Engagement Specialist

Position Overview

At WelbeHealth, we are committed to enhancing the lives of our participants through innovative engagement strategies. The Engagement Coordinator plays a crucial role in shaping our Activities Program, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of those we serve.

Working closely with the interdisciplinary team (IDT), the Engagement Coordinator will design tailored activity plans that cater to the social and therapeutic interests of participants. Collaboration with the Center Director is essential to guarantee the seamless execution of daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive engagement assessments to identify the social and therapeutic requirements, preferences, and aspirations of participants, actively contributing to IDT meetings for participant care plan development.
  • Craft a dynamic and inclusive Engagement Program featuring individual and group activities, along with outings, that addresses the varied needs of WelbeHealth participants.
  • Oversee and facilitate all aspects of the WelbeHealth Engagement Program, ensuring activities are enjoyable, suitable, and safe.
  • Prepare and distribute a monthly calendar outlining the schedule of engagement activities.
  • Build and sustain productive relationships with external organizations, such as adult education programs and other community resources, to enhance the WelbeHealth Engagement Program.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Activity Professional Certification is required; alternatively, three (3) years of relevant experience may be accepted.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a social recreational or educational program within the last five (5) years, including at least one (1) year in an activities program within a healthcare or mental health setting, specifically working with frail elderly individuals.
  • Language proficiency: Bilingual English/Cantonese or English/Mandarin is required.

Compensation for this role ranges from $30.73 hourly, including bonuses and equity options. Actual compensation will be adjusted based on experience and qualifications.
