Position Overview

Role Responsibilities

The MRI Imaging Specialist will operate under the guidance of radiologists and the management team to obtain high-quality diagnostic images for clinical evaluation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering and managing contrast agents for enhanced imaging.
  • Conducting thorough screenings of all individuals and items entering the MRI area.
  • Assisting in invasive procedures as needed.
Work Schedule

This position is full-time and requires availability on weekends, specifically Friday through Sunday.

Equipment Utilization

The successful candidate will work with advanced MRI systems, including Siemens Symphony 1.5T and Toshiba Titan 1.5T, with the upcoming addition of Siemens Magnetom Altea 1.5T.

Sign-On Bonus

We are currently offering a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

Required Education:
Associate's degree in Radiologic Science or completion of an A.R.R.T. accredited program.

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Science.

Essential Skills

Candidates should possess:

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of anatomy, imaging techniques, and safety protocols related to MRI.
  • Understanding of radiographic and MRI physics.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Expertise in MRI safety practices.
  • Ability to assess images for quality and technique.
  • Proficiency in patient positioning and equipment adjustment for optimal imaging.
  • Capability to innovate and adapt techniques to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Experience with venipuncture and contrast administration.
  • Skill in determining appropriate imaging protocols for high-quality diagnostics.
Licensure and Certification

Required:
R.T. (R) ARRT, Texas License, and BLS CPR certification.

Preferred:
R.T. (R) (MR) ARRT certification.

Experience

Required:
A minimum of six months of experience in MRI.

Preferred:
More than one year of experience in MRI.
