About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Performance Marketing Manager to join our team at Lawson Products. As a key member of our Growth Marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing revenue-driving campaigns across various channels, including email, SEO, SEM, Paid Media, social, SMS, and chat.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Drive Ongoing Strategy: Create and implement ongoing strategies and tactics for our marketing channels, targeting new customers, retaining our existing base, and expanding our brand presence.
  • Set Strategic Vision: Collaborate with the Sr. Manager, Growth Marketing to set strategic vision for the performance channels.
  • Maximize ROI and Synergies: Provide planning and decision-making to maximize the ROI and synergies between the channels and related sites, apps, tools, and content.
  • Develop and Execute Channel Campaigns: Develop and execute a variety of strategic channel campaigns, ranging from eCommerce to account-based marketing.
  • Own and Drive Channel Plans: Own and drive the channel plans and strategies, including the development, maintenance, and optimization of the plans, architectures, and 'blueprints' within each channel.
  • Analyze Data and Provide Insights: Analyze data to uncover growth opportunities, refine strategies, and provide actionable insights that inform decision-making at all levels.
  • Communicate Effectively: Explain, discuss, and justify channel decisions eloquently, giving effective feedback and being open to direction or feedback from other team members.
  • Oversee Supplier Co-Funding/Co-Marketing Partner Programs: Oversee, support, and help design the supplier co-funding/co-marketing partner programs as they relate to the performance channels.
  • Review KPI Performance and Adjust Strategies: Review KPI performance with the Web and Channel intelligence team and adjust strategies and tactics as necessary, while also determining testing opportunities for maximum performance.
  • Design and Execute A/B Tests: Design and execute A/B tests across various touchpoints to improve conversion rates, user engagement, and overall campaign performance.
  • Own and Be Accountable for Channel Metrics: Own and be accountable for the channel's key performance metrics related to user acquisition, retention, churn, and overall marketing efficiency.
  • Continually Refine Campaigns: Continually refine all campaigns to ensure they are meeting and exceeding benchmarks and KPIs.
  • Grow and Maintain Benchmarks: Vehemently grow and maintain our benchmarks for performance.
  • Set and Maintain Best Practices: Help set and maintain best practices for channel efficiency and optimization.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Channel Trends: Stay up-to-date and share channel marketing trends and best practices.
  • Oversee Daily Management of Channels: Oversee the daily management of channels and related tools, including launching, reporting, experimenting, and optimizing campaigns and platform strategies.
  • Develop Roadmaps for Channels: Own and develop, with the Sr. Manager, the roadmaps for each channel and related tools.
  • Maintain Integrity of Tools: Maintain integrity of our tools 'products' and drive the roadmap for continual development.
  • Launch New Tools: Launch new tools as necessary for growth.
  • Partner with Content and Graphic Design Teams: Partner with internal content and graphic design teams to build assets that are technically fit and further powers the campaigns.
  • Provide Best Practices and Solutions: Provide best practices and solutions through channels and tools to help our teams get the message out to the right audience at the right time.
  • Manage Paid Budget: Manage the paid budget.
  • Audit and Mitigate Channel Tools: With the team, perform audits and mitigation on our channel tools as required for optimal tool health.
  • Own Customer Database Growth Strategy: With the Sr. Manager, own the customer database growth strategy, execution, and integrity.
  • Coach Team Members: Coach team members, and QA their work prior to market release.
  • Manage Outside Partners: Manage any outside partners that support our channels, ensuring quality work and alignment to our plans and goals.
  • Translate Goals and Tasks into Channel Strategies: Translate goals and tasks from creative briefs into engaging and effective channel strategies.
  • Ensure Brand Guidelines are Implemented: Ensure our brand guidelines are implemented and consistent in all channel work.
  • Participate in Creative Brainstorming: Participate and contribute to creative brainstorming for brand and product launches.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience in growth marketing or performance marketing role, with 3 years of experience in a management role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrable Success: Demonstrable success in managing performance marketing initiatives across multiple channels, and across the customer lifecycle from acquisition to retention to reactivate.
  • Deep Understanding of Digital Marketing Channels: Deep understanding and proven track record of successfully managing digital marketing channels, including but not limited to email, paid, SEO, social campaigns.
  • Marketplace Channel Experience: Marketplace channel experience.
  • Experience with SMS and Chat: Experience with SMS and Chat highly preferred.
  • Ability to Present Persuasively: Ability to present persuasively to gain alignment and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Priorities: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and oversee the performance team in the midst of a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Effective Leadership Skills: Effective leadership skills in leading and coaching team members.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience in Developing and Scaling New Marketing Channels: Experience in developing and scaling new marketing channels while reinvigorating existing channels.

  • Proficiency in Project Management Tools and CMS: Proficient in project management tools and content management systems (CMS) (a plus).
