About the Role:

Savannah River Mission Completion, a leading nuclear operations and environmental remediation company, is seeking an experienced Electrical and Instrumentation/Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Maintenance Activities: Manage maintenance programs, personnel, and resources to ensure safe and efficient facility operations, minimizing equipment downtime.
  • Establish and Monitor Objectives: Set and track objectives, schedules, and actions for maintenance work, providing direction and input on technical issues.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure maintenance programs adhere to company and site policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Work Direction: Train and educate personnel on procedures, plant, regulatory, and industry changes, ensuring work is performed safely, properly, and efficiently.
  • Review and Approve Procedures: Review and approve procedures, work packages, troubleshooting, and test plans.
  • Monitor Backlogs: Prioritize and align backlogs to company objectives, ensuring sufficient resources.
  • Interface with Facility Personnel: Collaborate with operations, radiological control, engineering, and other departments to ensure task completion while maintaining high safety standards.
  • Contribute to Maintenance Planning and Budgeting: Participate in planning and budgeting activities to ensure sufficient resources, adhering to department budget.
  • Analyze Maintenance Problems: Identify and develop solutions for unplanned, recurring, and persistent maintenance problems, incidents, and outages.
  • Evaluate Department Policies: Review and recommend changes to department policies and procedures.
  • Identify Training Needs: Assess training needs, review curriculum, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Perform Administrative Functions: Develop, coach, and mentor personnel, performing administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Field experience in maintenance, engineering, operations, or work planning.
  • Associates Degree: Field experience in maintenance, engineering, operations, or work planning.
  • High School Diploma or GED: Field experience in maintenance, engineering, operations, or work planning.
