PPM Electrician Aiken, SC
Job Summary:
The Electrician will perform as a skilled mechanic in the constant improvement of maintenance, fabrication, and repair of tire manufacturing equipment.
Must be willing to work flexible shifts and be subject to overtime.
The Electrician will practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures; comply with all customer rules and safety procedures and policies.
Properly diagnose, replace, or repair parts of equipment using appropriate tooling, equipment, and material to accomplish maintenance functions, including:
- Inspections
- Troubleshooting
- Repairing
- Fabricating
- Removing and replacing components on equipment
Must be able to solve problems by studying drawings and technical publications if necessary.
Tobacco-free facility. 3 years of industrial experience is a must.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the constant plant operation improvement, fabrication, and repair of Tire Manufacturing equipment
Experience:
Must have at least 3 years of electrical experience. Experience and completed training program can be blended. Proficient in conduit bending.
Qualifications & Skills:
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters to external and internal customers. Read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings.
Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign. May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above. Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas. Must have full range of motion consistent with age. Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders. Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job-related noises. Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces. Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
