Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in Advanced Engineering. The selected candidate will be employed at the Savannah River National Laboratory and will be responsible for developing innovative solutions for the Savannah River Site, DOE complex, and national security missions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in automation, robotics, controls, instrumentation, and data acquisition system development. They will be expected to lead multidisciplinary teams and individually develop one-of-a-kind engineering solutions in a safe and responsible manner.

The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering results in a timely and cost-effective manner. They will understand and apply advanced knowledge of standard theories, concepts, principles, and techniques in engineering. They will also prepare technical manuals, reports, procedures, and invention disclosures.

The candidate should have the ability to develop technical scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for proposed projects. They will be expected to track project schedules and budgets while guiding early career engineers. They will use SRNL systems and meet requirements with minimal supervisory guidance.

The ideal candidate will have experience in PLC system development and programming, including AI, sensor integration, or machine learning. They will also have experience in imaging and vision systems.
