About the Role

This is a full-time/part-time position that requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care. As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will work under the direct supervision of a registered nurse and be responsible for establishing and maintaining a sterile field, a safe patient care environment, and appropriate supplies/equipment as required for the operative procedure.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the surgical field and supplies/instruments delivered to the field.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide a cooperative work environment.
  • Assist in providing quality patient care in a manner that is patient-focused, technically appropriate, and cost-effective.
  • Comply with hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be a graduate of a surgical technologist program and have a strong commitment to patient care. You must also be willing to work with exposures to body fluids, waste, and chemicals, radiation, hazardous materials, anesthesia gases, and life-threatening diseases. On-call availability, rotating shifts, and the ability to move heavy patients and equipment are also required.
