We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cook to join our culinary team at Green Oaks Senior Living. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food, managing food and supply inventory, and ensuring a safe and clean kitchen environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including menu items and special requests.
- Manage food and supply inventory, including ordering and receiving shipments.
- Ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment, adhering to sanitation and food safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Food & Beverage and Sous Chef to achieve kitchen goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain a positive and respectful work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication.
- At least two years of experience working in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a senior living or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of sanitation and food safety standards, including HACCP and food allergen protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification a plus.
