About the Role

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a skilled Audiologist to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas.

This is a float position, providing in-patient and/or out-patient services, focusing on diagnosing hearing loss for pediatric patients. The successful candidate will work closely with children, their families, speech pathologists, school personnel, specialists, and physicians to recommend and implement a plan that enhances a child's functional hearing to facilitate learning and development.

The Audiologist will provide a range of services, including behavioral audiometry, auditory brainstem response, otoacoustic emissions, infant newborn hearing screenings, evaluation and selection of hearing aids, FM systems, and other assistive listening devices. Additionally, the position involves patient and caregiver education, consultation with other professionals, clinics, and agencies, both within Cook Children's Health Care System and within the community.

Requirements

  • Clinical Doctorate degree in Audiology or PhD in Audiology
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • BLS certification within 30 days of employment required
  • State license for Audiology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in audiology (ASHA) or Board Certified in Audiology (ABA) or eligible to apply for either
