Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA is seeking a Senior Analyst of Credit Risk Analytics to play a pivotal role in our analytical team. This position is focused on the aggregation, examination, and interpretation of data for effective monitoring and oversight of the credit portfolio, ultimately delivering valuable insights and strategic recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aggregate and analyze data from diverse sources, managing both structured and unstructured large datasets.
- Develop intricate data query programming to extract and manipulate databases for reporting, analysis, and modeling purposes.
- Conduct advanced analysis including predictive modeling, regression analysis, financial assessments, and trend evaluations.
- Identify and explore opportunities for additional statistical models and sophisticated analytical techniques to forecast losses and evaluate business performance.
- Generate benchmarks and monitoring reports concerning growth, delinquency rates, and overall profitability.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on risk and business performance.
- Formulate and implement underwriting strategies or pilot initiatives in support of new product launches or pricing adjustments.
- Create comprehensive presentation materials detailing analysis results, findings, and strategic recommendations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, economics, finance, mathematics, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in data capture and querying using tools like SQL and SAS.
- At least 7 years of experience in risk reporting and analytics.
- 5+ years of programming experience in SQL and/or SAS.
- 3+ years of experience in the financial services sector.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with credit bureau data is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Oracle databases is preferred.
- Experience with reporting tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud and Tableau is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Salary Range:
$85,400 to $150,310, with base pay determined by job-related experience.
