As a Release Train Engineer (RTE) at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a critical role in supporting a development team that is modernizing and creating efficiency in critical projects for the Naval environment. You will apply your knowledge of Agile best practices and scrum principles to coach the team and ensure the project progresses successfully.
You will work closely with the development team to focus on sprint goals, apply process improvements, and use tools like ServiceNow to strengthen sustainable process improvements. Your expertise will directly impact the Naval environment by working alongside clients to deliver impactful solutions.
This is an opportunity to grow your experience in IT and Agile project management, developing and contributing to a variety of project solutions that will ensure success for the delivery of services in support of the warfighter.
Responsibilities- Coach a development team to apply Agile best practices and scrum principles
- Work closely with the development team to focus on sprint goals and apply process improvements
- Use tools like ServiceNow to strengthen sustainable process improvements
- Directly impact the Naval environment by working alongside clients to deliver impactful solutions
- 3+ years of experience in Department of Defense (DoD) engineering and science management, operations research analysis, or financial and cost analysis
- Experience as an RTE serving multiple teams and providing tasking and prioritization
- Experience with SAFe, Kanban, or Lean-Agile processes and methodologies, along with Agile software project management tools, including ServiceNow
- Experience as a Scrum Master, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and Program Increment (PI) planning
- Ability to facilitate and coach a team to better outcomes using process improvement techniques
- Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- RTE Certification
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) Certification
- SAFe Program Consultant Certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- ITIL Foundations Certification
