About the Role

We're seeking an experienced iOS Developer to join our team. As an iOS Developer at Rhombus Systems, you will focus on developing native iOS apps that dazzle our users. This role involves working with engineering teams across both Software and Hardware to tackle difficult problems that define the IoT space.

The ideal candidate is an intelligent, pragmatic thinker who enjoys expressing their abilities through the medium of iOS. You should have experience working as the primary or lead developer for an iOS app and have seen an app through the lifecycle milestones of idea, prototype, initial release, new feature development, and long-term maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop native iOS applications for Rhombus Systems
  • Collaborate with Rhombus visual designers to create intuitive, delightful, and modern user experiences
  • Hunt for bugs and fix them in a timely manner
  • Observe for performance issues and implement optimizations
  • Test release candidates to ensure high-quality apps
  • Release iOS apps to the App Store
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to define APIs and work through implementation details
  • Stay current with iOS development news and inform the team about relevant happenings that may be relevant to the company
Requirements
  • BS or equivalent in Computer Science
  • 3+ years of development experience in Swift or Objective-C
  • Experience with SwiftUI development is a plus
  • Experience with popular frameworks from Apple and 3rd Party for Networking, Bluetooth, Video and Image Processing, Logging, and Crash Detection
  • Be a self-starter, comfortable making important design decisions with limited oversight
  • Fast and efficient, and able to quickly turn around small features and functionality
  • Be a very curious person that is willing to ask why
  • Experience developing for Apple Watch and Apple TV is not required, but is a plus
  • Familiarity with Video Processing is not required, but is a plus
  • Familiarity with wireless protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Near Field Communication (NFC)/Apple Pay is not required, but is a plus
