Job Overview

The Cleary Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architectural Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating and developing design concepts, and drawings for various residential projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Relationships
    • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for clients, resulting in referrals and repeat business.
    • Deliver customized design solutions that exceed client expectations, while staying within budget constraints.
    • Present design concepts to internal teams, facilitating the creation of comprehensive design packages.
    • Review and revise design documents and drawings based on feedback and changes.
    • Maintain open communication with the development team throughout the project.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and innovations in residential design and construction techniques.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Keep staff informed about new products, ideas, and industry developments.
    • Assist with trade shows, open houses, and industry events to promote the company's expertise.
    • Attend continuing education seminars and product knowledge groups to stay current on industry trends and best practices.
    • Contribute to lead generation and pipeline management.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in residential architecture within the Design-Build industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to create detailed drawings and designs for additions, whole house remodels, and new builds.
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience with Chief Architect software is a plus.
  • Highly organized and effective communicator.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with wood framing construction techniques.
