Position Overview
The Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design is on the lookout for a passionate and innovative educator to fill a full-time, tenure-track role in the Master of Architecture Program. This position is aimed at candidates with a Ph.D. ABD status, specializing in the history and theory of architecture and/or urban design.

Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants will possess a remarkable design portfolio and experience in teaching both lecture courses on history and theory and architectural design studios. We particularly value interdisciplinary approaches that merge art and architecture, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
  • Deliver graduate-level courses focusing on the History and Theory of Architecture and/or Urban Design.
  • Lead architectural design studios throughout the Master of Architecture curriculum.
  • Maintain a course load of 12 credit hours during the academic year.
  • Engage in scholarly research and creative activities, contributing to publications, exhibitions, and recognized forums.
  • Participate in the strategic planning and development of the program.
  • Serve on various committees as required.
  • Assist in the accreditation process in collaboration with faculty and staff.
  • Work with community organizations to enhance the program's outreach.
  • Facilitate travel programs and organize lectures and exhibitions.
  • Advise students and support student-led initiatives.
  • Collaborate with admissions and marketing teams for recruitment activities.
  • Uphold the mission and values of the Eskenazi School.

Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Master of Architecture or an equivalent degree, with a strong interest in cross-disciplinary research that integrates art and architecture. Professional licensure and experience in a recognized design studio are preferred. Prior teaching experience at a higher education institution is also desirable.
