Job Summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Associate Director, Contracts to support its Ground Based Sensors (GBS) Product line. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of contracts professionals engaged in the pursuit and execution of critical missile defense sensing products and services to both domestic and international customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of contracts professionals to ensure successful contract execution and resolution.
  • Negotiate directly with DoD and international customers to develop trusting relationships.
  • Coach, manage, and strategically lead an organization of approximately 6 contracting professionals to continuously improve the overall quality, capability, and bench strength of the contract's organization.
  • Handle all contracts duties resulting in achieving program and business area objectives.
  • Lead coordination of any payment issues to ensure compliant and timely payment in support of Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University degree and 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 10 years' experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience managing and negotiating contracts and/or subcontracts and reporting on contract performance to Contracts and Program stakeholders.
  • Experience in Government contract administration under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Experience supervising dispersed teams.
  • Experience administering compliance processes such as Export/Import (EXIM), Truth in Negotiation Act (TINA), and transactional due diligence.
  • Experience negotiating or managing non-traditional terms and conditions with international customers or contracting administration for competitions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with U.S. Air Force or international customers.
  • Experienced manager and influential people leader.
  • MBA or JD.
  • Contract management certification (e.g. NCMA or WorldCC).
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance.
