  • Conduct site visits to assess existing mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, documenting energy performance information and utility data.
  • Identify opportunities for energy conservation and efficiency, preparing energy savings calculations and performing engineering assessments.
  • Lead engineering design and development activities for construction, operations, and maintenance of customer site projects.
  • Analyze and prepare conceptual and detailed engineering design and bid documents, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications for energy-efficient building technology and system measures.
  • Coordinate with vendors and installation contractors for feasibility and pricing verification of proposed project modifications.
  • Provide engineering guidance throughout development, construction, project commissioning, and operations, including proposals, technical reports, cost estimates, and presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, and codes.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive business relationships.
  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent four-year technical engineering degree.
  • Ability to analyze and quantify energy savings and implement projects involving chiller and boiler plants, motors, VSDs, HVAC retrofit, controls, and distributed generation.
  • Ability to review confidential US security information.

  • Experience with whole building energy simulation software such as eQuest.
  • Financial planning/budget experience with ability to develop a business case helpful.
  • Professional registration or educational progress toward PE, CEM, LEED.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and computer communication and technical presentation skills.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing, issued by resident state required.
  • Travel may be required.
