Program Overview

NEINFAME collaborates with Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne to develop critical professional skills and earn an associate degree.

Students attend Ivy Tech classes two days a week and work onsite at Steel Dynamics three days a week.

This two-year program prepares students for full-time employment as Advanced Manufacturing Technicians.

Upon completion, students have a high probability of no student debt and the option to continue earning a bachelor's degree.

Eligible candidates must have a high school diploma by June 2024 and a desire for hands-on, technical training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with equipment repair.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance of equipment.
  • Ensure well-maintained equipment for quality product production.
  • Familiarize and learn about various aspects of the operation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrate mechanical and electrical aptitude.
