Job Summary

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Brook & Whittle LTD, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality products are delivered to our customers. This position involves examining products for defects or deviations from specifications, evaluating and assessing company-wide processes that impact individual label quality, and providing feedback to the Quality Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products prior to secondary finishing or shipping to ensure conformance with order specifications.
  • Measure products using various tools, such as rulers, micrometers, and spectrophotometers, to verify quality standards.
  • Verify required documentation and report any failures to the Quality Supervisor.
  • Accept or reject finished items and segregate any rejected items to prevent shipment.
  • Provide feedback on findings to the Quality Supervisor and complete reports as required by customers.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with specialized classes beyond high school a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in printing or relevant work experience.
  • A keen eye for color and ability to distinguish between minimal color variances.
  • High focus on detail and ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and create simple correspondence and memos.
  • Moderate work experience using a computer, including data entry and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and effectively use measuring devices.

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
  • Frequent exposure to a manufacturing environment with unpleasant or hazardous conditions, including dust, dirt, high noise levels, and chemicals.
  • Constantly required to hear, speak, articulate, and use manual dexterity.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, use color vision, grasp, reach, and sit for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
