Human Resources Assistant

Role Responsibilities

We are seeking a full-time, experienced HR Assistant. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, written, verbal communication, and computer skills.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruitment of potential candidates
  • Participation in job fairs
  • Conducting comprehensive background checks, including Sterling, DOH, Inspector General, Medicaid/Medicare, and Sex Offender Registry
  • Managing employee documentation
  • Facilitating new employee orientation and onboarding processes
  • Overseeing health benefits enrollment
  • Maintaining licenses for all RN, LPN, HHA, PCA staff
  • Ensuring compliance with DOH regulations
  • Supporting the agency during DOH surveys
  • Conducting in-service training in line with DOH regulations

Employment Type: Full-time

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with Department of Labor and Department of Health regulations
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment

Language Requirements:

English/Spanish (preferred)

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
