Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Developmental Specialist Vocational to join our team at Monarch (NC). As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for developing positive relationships with individuals we support, assisting them in achieving their personal goals, and promoting their rights and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess individuals' hopes, dreams, and desires, and provide supports to facilitate achievement.
  • Ensure the rights of individuals are protected and promoted at all times, and assist them in developing advocacy skills.
  • Provide resources and support for individuals to access community agencies, services, and supports that meet their needs.
  • Supervise, educate, and monitor individuals in work settings, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Continually educate individuals on required work procedures, facility rules, policies, and practices.
  • Facilitate positive relationships with individuals using positive approaches that promote self-determination.
  • Implement individual plans, document progress, and complete required documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining records, attendance, and other necessary documentation.
  • Substitute in-house or in the community as needed, and assist with new staff orientation and training.
  • Attend meetings and training as required, maintaining certification in agency, state, and federal training requirements.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma (Required)
  • Drivers License (Valid) - USA
  • Experience working with adults with mental health diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities
