Key Responsibilities

  • Primarily office-based work with occasional field assignments.
  • Conduct topographic, construction, and boundary surveys.
  • Execute calculations for traverse closures, adjustments, field note reductions, boundary analysis, deed sketches, area calculations, and alignments.
  • Review and verify work to ensure quality control standards are met.
  • Draft metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects.
  • Perform deed research as necessary.
  • Conduct and prepare topographic and tree location surveys.
  • Coordinate with contractors regarding construction staking requirements.
  • Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
  • Identify potential issues or conflicts and report them to the supervisor.
  • Assist in the coordination of survey crews and equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or specialized vocational training.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • LSIT licensure is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.
  • Experience in construction staking is advantageous.
