Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at MFA Co. As a key member of our Echocardiography Laboratory, you will be responsible for performing advanced testing and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiography procedures, including 2-D and M-mode echocardiograms and Doppler studies.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and arrange for repairs as needed.
  • Train technicians, residents, and fellows in equipment procedures and interpreting test results.
  • Respond to cardiovascular emergencies during testing.
  • Set up and maintain the Echocardiological Laboratory.
  • Perform other non-invasive cardiological tests, such as exercise/stress testing and Holter monitoring.
  • Generate Cardiology reports for review by cardiologists.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Completion of a formal echocardiography training program.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in echocardiographic procedures.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach above the shoulder for long periods.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 100 lbs.
  • Regularly exposed to healthcare settings requiring personal protective equipment.
  • Manual dexterity to operate computer equipment.
