Job Summary

As a Cardiac Sonographer at The GW Medical Faculty Associates, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing advanced echocardiography testing. This position requires a strong foundation in cardiac sonography, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiography testing, including 2-D and M-mode echocardiograms and Doppler studies
  • Inspect and maintain equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Train and mentor technicians, residents, and fellows in echocardiography procedures and interpretation
  • Respond to cardiovascular emergencies during testing
  • Generate accurate and detailed reports for cardiologists
  • Perform other non-invasive cardiological tests, such as exercise/stress testing and Holter monitoring

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Completion of a formal echocardiography training program
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in echocardiographic procedures
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 100 lbs in a clinical setting
