Job Summary

This role is responsible for the day-to-day transactional accounting activity, ensuring timely and accurate accounting records in compliance with US GAAP. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute accounting and finance procedures, including generating and inputting company transactions into the ERP system.
  • Perform self-review of entries prior to entry, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Understand complex processes, including the company's end-to-end revenue cycle.
  • Timely execute the company's monthly close process, analyzing results for accuracy prior to submission.
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations, verifying that all sub-ledgers tie to the general ledger and resolving any differences.
  • Communicate results on a monthly basis, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably with a Big Four accounting firm.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a Secret (or higher) Clearance Level.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Work Environment:

This role operates in a clerical, office setting, requiring the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Physical Demands:

This is a largely sedentary role, with some physical abilities required.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs.

Metrea Management LLC - Tampa, FL or Washington, D.C.

Travel:

Occasional, up to 5%.
