ClearPath, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Washington, DC or remotely. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and reconciliations.

  • Preparing and posting journal entries, maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts
  • Performing account reconciliations, including bank statements, and investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accurate coding and timely payment of invoices
  • Assisting in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Reviewing and processing employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Identifying and recommending improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy

The Staff Accountant will also be responsible for assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. They will work closely with the management team to prepare high-level and detailed financial reporting, analysis, and modeling for presentation to funders, the COO, CEO, and Board of Directors.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will be able to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
