We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at River Forest Medical Campus. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth registration process for inpatient and outpatient encounters.
Key Responsibilities- Collects and analyzes demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data from multiple sources to ensure accurate registration and billing.
- Obtains necessary signatures and information from patients and their representatives to secure payment and meet regulatory requirements.
- Effectively screens for compliance with payer requirements for medical necessity and pre-certification.
- Interacts with patients, their representatives, physician office staff, and other stakeholders to ensure a positive and compassionate experience.
- Accurately prepares and distributes required forms, documents, and reports to internal and external parties.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of admitting experience.
- Medical terminology preferred.
- Must speak and write English fluently.
