Job Overview

At PRI Technology, we are seeking a seasoned Project Director to lead and deliver projects through all phases of the Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC). The successful candidate will be accountable for overall project communications, project planning, project governance, and scope, budget, issue, risk, and escalation management.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communications skills, and experience with enterprise system deployments. The Project Director must also have a service-oriented mentality, proactively identify problems, and see them through to resolution, and establish good working relationships with the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide overall project leadership to the cross-functional team – ensuring clarity re: project objectives, approach, and plan. Promoting a collaborative team environment. Proactively addressing resource and team challenges. Holding team members accountable for completing tasks and deliverables on schedule, on scope, and with high quality.
  2. Accountable for the successful delivery of the project and its objectives—ensuring the project team is producing deliverables on schedule, budget, scope, and quality.
  3. Identify and manage stakeholders—ensuring that all stakeholders are identified and engaged; that their points of view and expectations are understood and managed; and that they are kept informed throughout the life cycle of the project.
  4. Accountable for project governance—ensuring timely resolution to areas requiring remediation; scheduling and facilitating Monthly Key Stakeholder Updates; and timely and quality completion of regular status reporting.
  5. Provide resource planning and set expectations for individuals and the project team.
  6. Ensure proper communications among project stakeholders, management, vendors, and others as appropriate. Hold regular team meetings to gather project updates.
  7. Provide management dashboards and briefings to facilitate senior sponsor meetings.
  8. Oversee the development of training and communications plans for the rollout.
  9. Work closely with team members and other end users throughout the deployment to ensure go-live readiness, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
  10. Accountable for creating, actively communicating, and managing the project schedule—working closely with the other project leads (i.e., BA, SA, QA, Operations) to ensure detailed project tasks are defined and tracked within the overall project schedule.
  11. Defines and manages the project budget—ensuring funding approval; tracking and managing actual spend against budget; and forecasting through to project completion.
  12. Leads scope management and change control—driving scope definition; identifying and tracking changes to scope; presenting scope changes through project level governance committees and Executive Leadership, as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of project management experience.
  • Strong verbal and writing skills.
  • Successful candidates will be self-motivated with a strong desire to contribute to the success of the department and company.
