Estimating Manager - Electrical Construction

The Estimating Manager at William Charles Electric oversees the electrical estimating department, ensuring effective management of bidding and estimating processes for high voltage construction projects.

  • Coordinating departmental activities, improving estimating practices, and providing leadership through mentorship and training for staff.
  • Driving project success and supporting corporate objectives with strong communication and organizational skills.

The ideal candidate will possess superior communication, management, and organization development skills, able to work with other department managers to meet corporate results/initiatives and ensure that employees are familiar with procedures, forms, instructions needed for communication with other departments.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $160,000-$180,000.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the firm's estimating activities, including pre-bid attendance as needed, bid management, cost databases, estimating software, and implementing/improving all estimating practices.
  • Conducting/attending project meetings/huddles as needed to communicate project requirements.
  • Establishing timelines and estimating goals for effective and timely submittals.
  • Ensuring effective communication and collaboration on estimates between all disciplines and parties.

Qualifications:

  • Proven high-level construction estimating experience, along with leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Management experience, with a history of leading, teaching, developing, and mentoring others successfully.
  • Solid presentation skills and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
