Position Overview:

The role involves overseeing process monitoring activities and conducting machinery capability assessments. Responsibilities include creating, updating, and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Instructions (JIs) as necessary. You will be responsible for training operators, leads, supervisors, and other personnel on new equipment, JIs, and SOPs. Additionally, you will conduct and lead troubleshooting efforts in production, identifying and implementing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and deliver advancements in continuous product and process improvements.
  • Continuously explore and develop innovative proprietary solutions and cost-saving measures.
  • Lead or assist in Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) or Design of Experiments (DOE) activities.
  • Review formulations, Master Batch Records (MBR), batch records, protocols, change controls, and other process instructions to confirm capability and capacity.
  • Generate Process Qualification Protocols (PQs) and perform Process Qualifications.
  • Collaborate closely with Research & Development (R&D) and Engineering on equipment selection processes.
  • Conduct Installation Qualifications (IQ) and Operational Qualifications (OQ) activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all projects and assignments.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and operate in a safe manner.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in engineering within an industrial environment, or a combination of experience, education, and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for the role.
  • Project management experience is a significant advantage.
  • Strong root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in creating formulation and process models and resolving complex issues.
  • In-depth knowledge of company safety requirements, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), SOPs, and OSHA regulations relevant to the role.
  • Understanding of nutritional ingredients, product formulations, and their claims.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing, regulatory, supply chain, and business implications of formulation decisions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and lead in a cross-functional team environment.
