Job Title: Configuration Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Configuration Management Specialist to support our team. This position is responsible for maintaining and managing technical data for product configurations, ensuring that all changes and variances are properly documented and their impacts assessed. The ideal candidate will coordinate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, prepare or review engineering changes, and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) in the Product Data Management (PDM) system.

Responsibilities:
• Provide advice, training, and guidance on configuration management practices, methods, documentation, procedures, and requirements.
• Review and track engineering change requests (ECRs), requests for variances (RFVs), and engineering change proposals (ECPs) to assess their impact on the configuration baseline and logistics support elements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to verify that changes are ready for Configuration Control Board (CCB) approval.
• Facilitate CCB meetings and manage the agenda and documentation.
• Review and periodically update Configuration Management plans in accordance with program requirements and industry standard guidelines.
• Check drawings and documents for compliance with company standards and program requirements.
• Work closely with quality assurance, engineering, manufacturing, and management representatives to ensure accurate and well-documented product baselines.
• Conduct configuration verification, auditing, and reporting activities.
• Ensure that customer requirements are implemented and comply with configuration management policies.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field.
• 5+ years of CM-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with a PDM tool; experience with Windchill/PDMLink is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Solid understanding of EIA-649-C.
• Ability to interpret contract Statements of Work (SOW) with respect to Configuration Management requirements.
• Working knowledge of Configuration Status Accounting.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent presentation skills.
