AnthroMed Education is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in Madison Heights. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with early childhood students in a self-contained room, providing high-quality speech services and supporting students with AAC devices.
Responsibilities- Evaluate student speech-language abilities and develop treatment plans
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students according to IEPs
- Conduct assessments, analyze results, and develop reports to determine strengths and concerns in speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills
- Use evidence-based research and continuing education to inform practice decisions
- Develop a learning environment characterized by effective process management strategies
- Participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings
- Develop treatment plans in conjunction with instructional staff that are strength-based and child-centered
- Ensure evaluations, intervention plans, and service delivery align with school, state, and federal guidelines
- Assist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language delays/disorders
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Michigan state license or eligibility for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience working with school-aged children
- Knowledge of special education laws and procedures, including IDEA and IEP development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues
- Bi-weekly team meetings for brainstorming and problem-solving
- Dedicated SLP Clinical support, including 1:1 caseload guidance, speech therapy materials database, and free continuing education opportunities
- A supportive and responsive team environment
