Position Overview:

Your Role:

The primary responsibility of the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is to execute professional, clinical functions that guarantee the highest standard of pharmaceutical care, resulting in optimal patient outcomes. This role aligns with the mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives of Methodist Health System.

Qualifications:


• Graduate from an accredited pharmacy institution.


• At least 2 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting (including residency training).


• Valid license as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Texas is mandatory.


• ACPE Accredited Sterile Compounding Certification is required.


• Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and NRP certifications.


• Completion of residency training or equivalent experience; for equivalency, a PGY1 residency counts as 2 years of experience, while a PGY2 residency counts as 3 years.


• NIHSS certification (to be obtained within 60 days of hire).


• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (to be obtained within six months of hire).


• Completion of MDMC Pharmacy Department Training Module (within 6 weeks of hire).


• Enrollment in ASHP-Accredited Residency Program Tracking and Evaluation Program.


• Completion of MDMC Pharmacy Department Training Module (within 1 year of hire).
