Position Overview
As an Orthopedic Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients in a dynamic clinical environment. Your responsibilities will include:

Clinical Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays, MRIs, and lab studies.
- Formulate diagnoses and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Assist in surgical procedures and be available for on-call duties as required.
- Manage all surgical documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with specialists and interventional physicians based on patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Provide minor surgical care, including suturing and dressing changes.
- Administer injections, oral medications, and perform various clinical procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols and the use of orthopedic devices.

Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of patient progress and transcribe physician orders.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide educational support regarding their care.
- Ensure continuity of care through effective monitoring and follow-up.
- Participate in peer evaluations for procedure authorizations.
- Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an orthopedic setting with surgical exposure is required.
- Current licensure in the state of Texas is mandatory.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
