INSTITUTIONAL OBJECTIVES

Position Title: Nursing Faculty
Reports To: Associate Dean of Nursing/Executive Dean
Job Summary:
Responsible for delivering theoretical instruction to students, including essential laboratory skills and professionalism required for licensure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate each student's performance and progress.
- Design, implement, and update curriculum materials to align with program standards.
- Create instructional resources with the support of appropriate staff.
- Administer required assessments as mandated.
- Contribute to students' educational development through informal mentoring and guidance.
- Collaborate with fellow faculty to address student needs and achieve program objectives.
- Ensure compliance with the Ohio Board of Nursing and other accrediting organizations.
- Complete institutional reports and participate in faculty meetings.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Faculty Qualifications:
- Graduated from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA.
- Possess a minimum of three years of relevant occupational experience in nursing; or
- Have at least four years of job-related training and experience for those not graduated from an accredited program.
- Instructors must have at least 18 semester credit hours or equivalent in the subject area.
