Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Application Support Specialist to join our team at BlueSky Resource Solutions. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support for our business-critical applications. Your primary focus will be on collaborating with business partners and the IT development team to ensure swift resolution of application problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between business operations and the IT team regarding service tickets, outages, and communications.
  • Adhere to incident management guidelines as outlined by our IT protocols.
  • Triage, prioritize, and escalate service tickets, following up with IT teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with staff, senior management, and third-party application support teams across multiple offices.
  • Troubleshoot issues by running basic SQL queries and analyzing results.
  • Monitor and remediate incoming application issues, providing prompt and professional feedback to end-users.
  • Identify problematic trends, offering suggestions or workarounds to address recurring issues.
  • Participate in special projects to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of application support processes.
  • Stay current with changes and updates to third-party applications to better support business teams.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting proprietary application software in a fast-paced environment.
  • Mortgage industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to run and interpret basic SQL queries for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Skilled in identifying irregularities and bugs in applications.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical issues to non-technical users and IT professionals.
  • Attention to detail, with solid problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Able to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Technical aptitude and good judgment for resolving application-related issues.

Education:

  • A four-year college degree or completion of an IT Bootcamp is preferred.
