Clinical Radiology Faculty Position

Position Overview:
The Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at Texas A&M University is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track faculty member in the field of Radiology. This position is open to candidates at various academic ranks, including clinical assistant professor, clinical associate professor, or full clinical professor.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will dedicate approximately 60-70% of their time to clinical responsibilities, which include:
1. Engaging in clinical teaching and providing patient care.
2. Delivering diagnostic imaging services for a diverse range of patients at the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, covering both small and large animals.
3. Offering expertise in various imaging modalities, including radiology, ultrasonography, MRI, CT, and nuclear medicine.
4. Participating in emergency imaging support alongside fellow faculty members.
Teaching and Mentorship:
In addition to clinical duties, the faculty member will:
1. Contribute 10-15% of their effort to didactic teaching.
2. Engage in scholarly activities and academic service.
3. Develop and deliver well-structured lectures and laboratory materials.
4. Mentor and supervise veterinary students, interns, and residents.
Collaboration and Support:
The candidate will join a collaborative team of radiologists and residents, benefiting from a supportive environment with dedicated technicians and advanced imaging equipment, including:
- 3-tesla MRI
- 40-slice CT
- Advanced ultrasound systems
- Digital radiography and more.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a DVM or equivalent degree, hold a Texas state veterinary license, and be board certified or eligible for certification by the American College of Veterinary Radiology or the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging. Board certification is expected within three years for non-certified applicants.
